The Video & Media Arts program is a 3-year program in which students from the local-area school districts can learn the art of audio, video and effects production.
The first year consists of Audio production in the 1st semester followed by Television production in the 2nd semester.
The 2nd year is concentrated on Video Production where students will be asked to videotape and edit several projects with the use of our 3-chip Canon GL2 camcorders and edit the footage on our Final Cut Pro Editing stations.
The 3rd year is strictly 3D animation. Students will learn how to use LightWave 3D. One of the industries widely used 3D animation programs.

The TV Studio is home to 3 Hitachi Z One C cameras and a 12 channel Strand Lighting Board. In the studio students will have the opportunity to produce live television. All students are required to produce 4 productions each year. We also feature productions that air on local television.

The control room is the brain center of the television studio. This is where the director, technical director and videotape operator will sit and mix the video to produce their shows. The audio engineer will also be located here to mix the audio coming from the studio.

The computer lab will serve double duty as a classroom. Students will learn how to put together their multimedia productions for presentations or output to video or the Internet and edit audio productions.

The radio booth serves as an audio booth for recording narration for audio and video productions.

The mix-down booth is located next to the isolation booth. Students will record and mix audio with a Behringer MX9000 24 Bus Mixer that is connected to a Tascam DA-88 DAT 8 channel recorder like in a professional sound studio.

Students will be able to edit their video projects with Adobe Photoshop and the Final Cut Pro video-editing program. Final Cut will allow students to add many special effects with Adobe AfterEffects.
